Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, while a little dated, added character to the hotel and were overall pleasant, but not quite as advertised. Unfortunately, my room happened to be above the kitchen with a very noisy extractor fan that disrupted my sleep. On the bright side, the room was spacious and well presented.
The hotel rooms were spacious and very comfortable, but the toilet flush was broken, and the distance from the reception was inconvenient. The service was friendly, albeit a bit disjointed in communication. The location was fantastic, although there were disturbances from a large Golf party. The dining experience had a good selection with a nice view, but some items were of poor quality.
The hotel is in a lovely location, perfect for an overnight stay while visiting Warner Brothers Harry Potter Tour nearby. The rooms are comfortable, although a bit chilly, especially on the first floor. The service was a mix of good and not so great, with a fantastic lady at reception but instances of 'cold' service. The dining options were varied and good but sometimes served cold. The picturesque surroundings were a highlight, but it could be a hassle going up to the bar. Overall, a welcoming place with some minor drawbacks.
The hotel rooms are in need of a refurbish and offer views of concrete and walls, but the overall stay was brilliant. The location is fantastic, though some difficulties were faced. The dining experience had a good range of items but could do with more variety. Facilities were satisfactory.
